Certification (TOA) of Boss Media Orion Hardware RNG

Technical Systems Testing (TST) is an internationally recognized Accredited Testing Facility (ATF), which offers a full range of impartial testing and consultation services for Terrestrial (traditional / land-based) and interactive gaming, wagering, lottery, e-Commerce and Information Technology (IT) industries, in order to ensure that gaming operates in a manner that is fair, secure and auditable.
Boss Media is one of the world's leading suppliers of systems for digitally distributed gaming entertainment. Boss Media develops gaming system solutions for such distribution channels as Personal Computers (PCs) / Internet, interactive gaming terminals and digital television.
Boss Media contracted TST to verify the correct operation of their Core Random Number Generator (RNG). Afetr reviewing and evaluating the submission materials provided by Boss Media, it is TST's position that the Boss Media Core RNG generates outcomes taht are fairly distributed, sufficiently non-predictable, and unbiased to any particular outcomes. This evaluation was performed using both mathematical and statistical analysis, to within a 95.0% confidence interval (this is a standard confidence interval for such an analysis).
More specifically, this evaluation was based on a Transfer of Approval (TOA) of the Boss Media Core RNG. TST had previously performed a full compliance evaluation of the Boss Media Core RNG for a particular Boss Media Licensee. Therefore, for the current evalution, TST verified that the newly-submitted version of the Boss Media Core RNG was functionally equivalent to the previously-certified version, and that any differences were fully tested.
In summary, the TOA verified that the Boss Media Core RNG complies with the following sets of standards:
- Generally accepted industry standards for highly regulated jurisdictions, and
- Boss Media's technical specifications for their RNG
The following standard limitations apply to TST's TOA of the Boss Media Core RNG:
- TST's evaluation was limited to the core RNG alone, and therefore does not include an evalution of the RNG's implementation within games,
- TST's evaluation was limited to the laboratory environment, and therefore does not include a verification of the RNG operating in the live environment, and
- TST's evaluation was based on a particular version of the Boss Media Core RNG, operating on a particular platform (TST has maintained a control version, or the means of verifying the control version, for all tested elements).
Assuring you of our best attention at all times
